Heads up! This article is intended for Site Managers

Custom pages

Custom pages are a great way to share key information in one centralized spot on your site. For example, you might create a custom page to:

  • Display a site FAQ list
  • Share a volunteer form
  • Post about special events
  • Manage an About Us section

These are just a few possibilities of what you can do with custom pages. Here we cover:

How to set up a custom page

To get started:

1. Go to Content > Custom Pages and click Add New Page

2. Fill out the Edit Page fields to customize your page.

  • Select the TypeStandard or Redirect:
    • Standard Page is the most common
    • Redirect is good when you want to have visitors redirected to another page when trying to access this one
  • Select who you want to have access to this page:
    • Everyone: Anyone who has the link, or who can access your site where this page is linked, can see this page
    • Site Manager: Only logged in Site Managers can access this page
    • User: Only logged-in users can access this page, regardless of user type
  • Title your page in the Page Name field
  • You have the option to make this page the Sub-Page Of another with the dropdown
  • Click More Options to further customize your page—please note, these options are not available for a Redirect page:
    • Meta Keywords: These help increase your page visibility in Google searches
    • Meta Description: When someone finds the page through a search engine, this description is displayed for the page
    • Require SSL: This is to add a layer of security to the page through encryption
  • Fill out the Page Body field with details about the page—you can insert images or links here with the text editor

3. Click Submit Page to finish.
