Heads up! This article is intended for Advanced Program Managers. If you're a Site Manager, click hereIf you're a Program Facilitator looking for information about reviewing Opportunities, click here.

If you want to recreate an Opportunity, but not necessarily start over from scratch, you can clone it! This is also great for copying Opportunities with Custom or Recurring Shifts as their duration type. When you clone an Opportunity, it copies everything from that original Opportunity except the duration type.

How do I clone an opportunity?

If you want to clone an Opportunity:

1. Go to Volunteerism > Opportunities2. Click on the Opportunity Title for the one you need to clone. 3. Scroll to the bottom of the Update Opportunity page and click the Clone Opportunity button next to the red Deactivate Opportunity button.4. Click Yes to confirm this action or No to cancel.

5. Go ahead and make the necessary changes you want to apply to the cloned Opportunity.

6. Don't forget to click Create Opportunity when you're done!

Best practice: We recommend deactivating the original Opportunity if it doesn't have any volunteer responses.

  • You can also rename the original Opportunity to try and draw more attention to it.
