Our volunteers are unhappy with the way the waitlist works, and one has pointed out that it is odd that the automated email that is sent out when space opens up for someone on the waitlist does not include a link to use to claim the open spot.

Hi, I just went back to the email Denny Eller sent me about this issue, and I misunderstood. This is what he said:
"I replied to the notice by clicking on the link in the email, but it doesn't take you to a spot where you should do something. It just takes you to the website. I tried to go to the calendar and click on Fridays date and do something there, but no options there."

This may be due to the user's emailing platform, removing links from notifications sent from your site. When taking a look at the "Waitlist: Space Is Open" notification in Communications > Notifications, the opportunity/need title is hyperlinked. It also includes a second link to bring the user to respond:
Typically, links being removed from an email can be based on settings or the platform the user has. If you'd like to dig into this more and find the links not working, please reach out to support@galaxydigital.com for direct assistance.
