It would be nice if the system could automatically determine based on DOB if a user does / doesn't require a background check so they are automatically exempt from having to complete a background check if that qualification is set up and required.

It would also be great if opportunities could only be used by people that meet the age criteria. Currently the only option is to have it written multiple times and/or a button that must be submitted with each signup that has to be checked to say the person meets the age requirement. Younger volunteers/volunteers who struggle with reading comprehension/volunteers filling out an application for the first time and non-English speakers all struggle with completing a large form and are less likely to read these details and correctly complete the application. Ongoing volunteers who are adults don't want to have to click an extra button each time they sign up (this is a complaint I'm hearing with this system - too many clicks are needed). It requires staff time to go through each application and manually verify age and then reach out about incorrect applications (we had over 1200 volunteers at one event, this is very time consuming) when a system has a date of birth and fields for minimum age and maximum age and could automate this step.

YES! Even just have the age automatically display based on DOB would be a huge improvement.
