Schedule private opportunities for users

I would like to schedule a handful of users into a private opportunity without having to assign them to a user group, or assume each individual users profile. If the scheduling button can include the option to type in a opportunity ID, that would feel appropriate.

Thanks Miranda!  It turns out that the opportunities were "flexible" in duration, and at the moment flexible opportunities can not be scheduled.

I have a few opportunities like this. They are private and not attached to a user group, and I schedule volunteers by either using the scheduling feature within the opportunity or within the volunteers profile (from a manager's view - I do not have to assume their profile). 

I wonder if that would work for your needs?

It looks like you still have an active ticket with KJ on this topic with an alternative solution you're working through. I hope she's able to help! In the meantime, I will still log a request for the ability to bulk respond for multiple users to a non-shifted opportunity.

Unfortunately this will not be a one time action, but rather something I need to do for multiple opportunities and users over time. I would not like to repeatedly file tickets each time I need to assign multiple users to a opportunity.  

At the moment, it looks like even if a private opportunity is shared with a user group, I can not bulk schedule users within the group.
