First time Volunteer auto tag/reminder

I'd love to see if it's a person's first time volunteering with us:

1. first time ever volunteering with out organization

2. first time volunteering at that shift

Is there a way to auto tag or like a star next to the volunteer's name on the back end scheduling page for my colleagues to easily identify this new volunteer. The idea is that it is automated and that we would not be responsible for keeping track or tagging this.
