How do I remove an Opportunity?

You might want to change the status of an Opportunity to Inactive or deactivate it if:

  • You plan to recreate it in the future.
  • You want to remove it from public view for now.
  • You want to remove it before any users respond.
  • It was canceled.
  • It was a one-time event that didn't have any hours submitted to it and won't be recreated in the future.

ⓘ So you know:

  • You can always change the status of an Opportunity back to Active.
  • If the Opportunity has submitted hours, then those hours still appear to you and the volunteers that submitted them.
