You can update the from email address on your site for email blasts. We recommend using the no-reply@galaxydigital.com provided because other email addresses may be sent to spam folders. But you can add your own from email—it just needs to be verified through Amazon Web Services (AWS) before using it! Here we cover:

How do I add a new email and verify it?

To add a new email address:

1. Go to Communication > Email Blast2. Click the blue Click to Verify a New From Address button. 3. Type the email you want to add in the field beside Email From Address and click Submit4. A message appears letting you know the email address was submitted—click Close5. The email address appears in the dropdown selection for "from" email addresses but isn't selectable. This means it's waiting to be verified by Amazon Web Services (AWS). 6. Check the email you submitted to see if an email came through from AWS.

7. Click the link in the email to confirm the email address.

  • The link expires after 24 hours.
  • Be sure to check your spam folder if you don't see an email from AWS.
  • When you click the link, it takes you to an AWS confirmation page.

8. Once the email is confirmed, you can start using it!

So you know: This process only verifies the email and adds it to your options for sending email blasts. You'll need to go into your Site Settings to change the "from" email address for automated notifications after the new email address has been verified.

Can I update the "from" email for notifications?

Once you've added the new "from" email address and it's verified, you can add it for automated notifications.

Best practice: We recommend using the no-reply@galaxydigital.com email address to avoid having your sent emails bounced or sent to spam folders.

  • This can happen because the site's originating email is the no-reply@galaxydigital.com one and when you "mask" your address with a different one, spam filters can mistake your emails as spam.
  • Another issue is that if you replace the default with a real email address and notifications are sent to email addresses that are no longer active, you receive "mailer-daemon" notices.
    • These inform you that the email failed to send.

How to update the "from" email address for notifications

1. Go to Settings > Main Settings2. Under Site Information scroll until you get to Email From Address3. Enter the verified email and click Update Settings to save your changes.  So you know:

  • You can verify a "from" email address in this area of the site too.
  • The green check means it's a verified email.

What if I didn't get the verification email?

If you didn't receive the verification from AWS, you may need to add them to your personal or business email contacts list that you plan to use as your new from email address.

1. Add no-reply-aws@amazon.com to the email address's contact list that you plan to use as your new from email address.

  • Adding them to your contact list, or other methods for safe listing, prevents the verification email from being sent to your spam folder automatically or bouncing.

2. Go to Settings > Main Settings > Email From Address and click the Click if this email address needs to be verified button.

3. Enter the email address and click Submit

4. Allow a few minutes for the email to send then go to your inbox and search for emails from no-reply-aws@amazon.com.

  • The subject line for the verification email is "Amazon Web Services - Email Address Verification Request in region US East (N. Virginia)".
  • You can also search for the email by this subject line.

5. Once you have the email, follow the link in the email to complete the verification process!

6. To check if your new from email address is verified, go to Communication > Email Blast and click the Select From Address dropdown.

  • Once verified, the new email appears in this dropdown and is ready for use!
