Community Program Managers vs. Advanced Program Managers

When you upgrade to Amplify, the Program Manager role is replaced with a more advanced position—an Advanced Program Manager. An Advanced Program Manager helps you focus more on your role as the site manager, while they oversee their Programs with more responsibility. Here, we look at the differences between a Program Manager and an Advanced Program Manager. 


What's the difference?  

The main difference between a Program Manager and an Advanced Program Manager is each role's capabilities. Program Managers have limited capabilities while Advanced Program Managers can do much more. Here is a comparison chart that outlines some of these different capabilities:

Some key differences are that Advanced Program Managers can: 

  • Email volunteers assigned to their Programs
  • Create and manage volunteer teams 
  • Manage volunteer profiles 
  • Access reports on Program activity
