You might have to provide a qualification submission when you register on a site or try to view or respond to volunteer Opportunities. These qualifications are important for the following:
- Ensuring that you're matched with Opportunities that best meet your skills and interests
- Completing waivers or reviewing important content before you volunteer with an organization
How to submit qualifications
Some organizations require you to complete qualifications when you create an account. Others require you to submit qualifications when you click on an Opportunity to respond. However, sometimes they'll add qualifications later—after you've already registered and made an account. You can always review, submit, or update qualifications from your profile!
1. Click on your initials or profile image and select Qualifications.
2. From here, submit any qualifications that you have listed under Incomplete Qualifications.
3. Be sure to click Submit Qualifications to save your changes!
How to review a qualification
If you need to review or update your qualifications, you can do so from your profile as well. From here, you can:
- Review the status
- See when it expires
- Update when necessary
- If a qualification can be updated, a pencil icon appears under Options for you to edit it.
- Some qualifications ask you to upload a file, answer a question, or sign a waiver.
- If you update a qualification, it may have a status set to pending until a Site Manager can review and approve it.
- Depending on the site, you may be asked to complete a background check on a third-party site for a qualification.
✏️ Quick tip: Try reaching out to the organization if you're curious about the status of your qualifications—especially if you're waiting on approval to respond to volunteer Opportunities.
